Dear friend of Skytear,
Let's start with three quick updates:
- These are the last few hours to join the August monthly clash that will be on the two-lane map. Sign up for Americas or Europe timezones.
Clashes a great way to play Skytear online, one match per week over four weeks. Beginners are welcome! If you have questions do not hesitate to ask on Discord #new-player-chat.
- On August 28 at 4pm gmt+2 we will run the August World Qualifier, played on the tulane map. The four games of the swiss stage will happen on the same day, top cut will be asynch over the following days. More details here.
- It's happened. Somehow, someway, Outsiders Only has survived to episode 50! Listen to an interview with Padre, ambassador of the polish community.
And now, without further ado, our release schedule in a timeline...
Skytear release schedule
As you might have noticed from the graphic above, the last quarter of this year will be quite crowded :)
We do not want to promise specific release dates before we're comfortable enough we can hit them. Until then, we can still give you an idea of what's coming.
The solo mode re-design is the first item on the list. There will NOT be a physical product for it, but just brand new rules and new cards released through the current solo app. The goal here is to give you a great way to play Skytear all by yourself, with a lightweight set of rules.
Next, there is Skytear Horde. As we announced last week, this one will be a new stand alone game coming to Kickstarter in a few months. It will be a solo and co-op card game inspired by tower defense video games.
The Unforgotten expansion will be the next expansion for Skytear the MOBA. This will bring two new dual faction heroes, half red and half green, as well as a bunch of new cards with a new *&!(& ?!QW$ mechanic.
In the first quarter of 2022, the Untamed expansion will feature two new dual faction heroes of the opposite alliance: half blue and half yellow. This will close the circle and give you a total of 8 dual faction heroes to play with.
Last but not least, a new battlefield, Embassy Ruins, will come in the spring of next year. It will be a completely redesigned 3-lane map, developed for quicker matches and therefore even organised play.
I am super excited about the new heroes and cards coming in a few months. At Gen Con (we will be at booth 2337) we plan to start the glorious spoiler season... hold tight!
That's all for this week, happy gaming.
