Dear friend of Skytear,

I'm excited to share with you the new SOLO Mode for Skytear!

Before getting into the details, some updates from the last month:

ESSEN SPIEL was a blast! Thanks to community members Zaraghul and RafaNunes, we could demo Skytear non-stop (even in German :) to a lot of new players from Germany and other European countries...

...and Outsiders Only podcast just released an episode about that! Give it a go to feel how exciting the SPIEL was!

Horde is coming early January. With the current delays in production and pre-production, we had to postpone the Kickstarter while waiting for prototypes...but we are almost there!

We've got another nice real-life tournament this weekend in Italy! We are keep going back to the table, finally.

New SOLO Mode

Thanks to your amazing feedback and with a bit more experience in SOLO & CO-OP world thanks to Skytear Horde, we have re-worked the SOLO mode for Skytear.

The goals for this updated were:

1) Make the solo mode easier to approach and ideal also for new players. That's why we have re-written existing cards to avoid any implicit operation but also making use of all the base actions in the game.

2) Avoid BIG and unpredictable reaction from the AI which could have ruined a whole game. Instead, we have now introduced a very slight reaction in ALL the AI cards: each time you attack, some little twist will happen!

3) Release new heroes to have a better MOBA-DRAFT feeling even against the AI and make the game more various. Cotlic, the Taulot King, is now available to play...and in a couple of weeks we'll share the new Kurumo Heroes as well...Stay tuned!

4) Make the SOLO available on all battlefields! We have just tasted the AI on Ashen Pass and three lane, but we have built a framework that goes in that direction. We'll share very soon the recommended AI heroes setup for these maps as well!

5) Do it like a real MOBA! To have more consistent and fun games, with no "cheats" or easy tweaks to take down the AI, we've made it as a real MOBA should be: if you want to win, take down the Nexus! :) Instead, losing is much easier injecting pressure on your strategy and keeping the game fun over the 5 turns.
